Biodegradation of polyacrylamide by bacteria isolated
2010-3-15 · The experimental results indicated that PAM can be degraded by pure bacterial strains with a relatively high efficiency (>70%) using PAM as the sole carbon source. The degradation can be influenced by the initial concentration of the PAM, with a determinate proportion of PAM able to be degraded by the microbial cells when 50–1000 mg L −1 of the initial PAM was supplied.
